Our Story

Michael and Stephen Gleason didn’t set out to be innovators when they opened their first paint store in 1987, but thanks to an eagerness to listen to customers and a willingness to explore new ideas – the brothers ensured that Gleco Paint & Wallcoverings stayed a step ahead.

“My brother and I always wanted to carve our own path, and we saw the need for a paint store in the Poconos,” Michael recalls. “For it to be everything we envisioned, it needed to be very well-stocked and have extremely high levels of service and technical expertise.”

That proved to be an effective formula for Gleco Paint, which immediately differed from other paint stores by leaning heavily toward commercial business, industrial coatings and implementing new technologies.

Exceptional Customer and Technical Service

“We are known for our large inventory, aggressive pricing, and most importantly, exceptional customer and technical service. We answer the questions that others can’t and we deliver what others don’t,” Michael says. “We proudly believe Gleco continues to raise the bar of what customer service should be.” For example, Gleco is an authorized service center for airless spray equipment, but unlike other dealers, they will allow a customer to borrow a rental unit free of charge to finish their job while their sprayer is under repair.

“Customers are often surprised to hear about a service or a unique product we offer as a solution to what they thought was an unsolvable issue. Whether it is helping a homeowner with their project or helping a contractor to stay profitable – we are focused on what the customer needs when they come to us.”

The latest technology keeps service efficient at all three eastern Pennsylvania locations in Mount Pocono, Easton and Scranton. A state-of-the art customer relations management (CRM) system allows outside salespeople and inside staff to engage and schedule follow ups with customers. The CRM is integrated with Gleco’s point-of-sales system, making for faster and easier transactions.
